A Walk around Bowenhurst Golf Course
-
Hole One: 273 yrds
A pretty but tricky first hole with a pond to the right of the fairway and a two-tier green to test your putting skills.
-
Hole Two: 190 yrds
A seemingly straightforward hole but with a bunker either side of the green accuracy is needed on this Par 3 teaser.
-
Hole Three: 130 yrds
Another inviting fairway that looks pretty but its looks belie the danger zones. There could be trouble if you stray either side of the fairway.
-
Hole Four: 344/258 yrds
This is a tight dog leg left hole with a tree obstructing a straight forward shot to the first bend and a pond on the second. Surrounded by woodland, the green is well guarded and requires a certain finesse to finish off with a trouble-free putt.
-
Hole Five: 151 yrds
A ditch across the fairway is an obstacle for those without a long drive and the two-tier green with bunkers on each side is not easy. A tricky short hole.
-
Hole Six: 344 yrds
A difficult right hand bend opens to a wide fairway. A pond just before the green on the right demands an accurate second shot to green.
-
Hole Seven: 108 yrds
A short hole that looks simple but a fairly narrow fairway and a ditch behind the green ensure this hole is not to be under estimated.
-
Hole Eight: 238 yrds
A long first drive is recommended to help navigate the right hand bend. A decent second shot will get you to the two-tier green that requires a delicate touch to putt first time.
-
Hole Nine: 137 yrds
A cheeky little number. The short fairway leads to a lovely flat green but being surrounded by ponds, reeds and woodland, your Par 3 could go astray.
